Privacy policy

VedaApps (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at [email protected].

This policy covers this website, our contact and demo forms, and trial and customer workspaces in VedaUI and VedaQL.

It does not cover the portals and apps our customers build. For those, the customer decides what data is used and why, and we handle that data only on their behalf and under their instructions. If you use a portal built by one of our customers, ask that company about your data.

• Forms: your name, email, company, phone (if you give it) and your message.
• Trial and customer accounts: name, email, company, phone, and your password — stored only as a one-way hash.
• Your workspace: what you build and enter in it, such as pages, settings, connections and the data in your sample or own databases.
• Technical data: server logs with your IP address, browser and the pages or features used, kept for security and to fix problems.

This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in to VedaUI, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in.

The website loads its fonts and icons from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address.

• to answer your messages and demo requests;
• to create and run your trial or customer workspace;
• to send emails about your trial — you can stop the non-essential ones at any time;
• to keep the service secure and to find and fix problems;
• to meet our legal duties.

We use your data because you asked us to (forms, trial), to perform our agreement with you, for our legitimate interest in running a safe service, with your consent where the law requires it (you can withdraw it at any time), and to meet legal duties. This applies under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, for people in the EU/UK, the GDPR.

• companies that host our servers and send our emails, only to provide those services and under contract with us;
• the AI provider you choose, if you connect an AI assistant to your workspace;
• authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

Ask us and we will tell you where our servers are. If data moves to another country, we protect it as the law requires.

• form messages: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, or until you ask us to delete them;
• trial workspaces: deleted a short time after the trial ends, unless you continue with us;
• customer workspaces: for as long as the agreement runs, then deleted as agreed;
• server logs: only as long as needed to keep the service safe and working.

Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes; keys and passwords for connected systems are encrypted; access is checked on the server; and only the people who need it can reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you as the law requires if something goes wrong.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct or complete it;
• delete it;
• stop using it for something you consented to;
• name someone to act for you if you cannot.

Write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local data protection authority in the EU/UK.

Our services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. We change the date at the top, and tell account holders by email about important changes.
